Yahoo mail now let’s you unsend emails
A new update was released by Yahoo last weekend for its mobile apps with the biggest highlight being the ability to unsend emails.
“Realized you accidentally chose the wrong email recipient or caught a typo last minute? Don’t stress—starting today, we’re giving iOS users the ability to take back an email right after it’s been sent. After you press send, an option to “undo” will appear at the bottom of your inbox feed for three seconds. Just click that and you’ll stop the email from sending! Phew!” said Josh Jacobson, director of product management at Yahoo Mail, in a blog postannouncing the new update. Google’s Gmail has had this feature for quite some time now and you can even extend the undo period on desktop with a Google Labs ad-on.Read more ↓
The new update also adds a feature where the name, contact card, picture, phone number and email history automatically show up when a user searches for a contact in the mobile app. There are also a bunch of new animations for the updated iOS app.
The update doesn’t bring the unsend feature to the Android version of the app, but there are some new features, including one where Android users can preview attached documents without having to download them, as well as more customizable options with the applications user-interface.
Thanks to the partnership with Paperless Post the new update also includes designed stationary so that users can personalize messages with professional templates and designs for special occasions, like birthdays and holidays.
