WhatsApp for Windows Phone has a new version 2.16.106 that brings new features to the app. Firstly, the update brings quoted messages feature to Windows phones. This means users can reply to a message via quotes, which is similar to Twitter’s retweeted quotes.

In addition, WhatsApp for Windows Phone app also gets improved image picker that will make it easier to access and attach images within the app. The company is said to have been testing both these features with beta users, and finally made them public. The users interface has also been given a facelift. “UI tweaks that make using the app much more bearable, such as moving the send message button to the right of the text box, rather than right above the Start button,” points out WindowsCentral.

Besides, one could expect some bug fixes. This latest WhatsApp update is available to download now from Windows store. It was just last month that WhastApp introduced its desktop client for Window, and also Mac. The WhatsApp desktop client offers all the same features and shortcuts, which we have already seen on WhatsApp for Web. However, the difference is the fact that the new app will not depend on the mobile version of the communication platform.
