The OnePlus 3 will cost more in the UK thanks to Brexit

If you live in the UK and are interested in purchasing a OnePlus 3, you should probably get on it before next week. Beginning July 11th, the OnePlus 3 will receive a price hike of £20, going from £309 to £329, thanks to the currency devaluation caused by Brexit. Accessories from OnePlus won’t be affected by the price change, the company noted.

While this is isn’t the first time price adjustments have been made due to currency fluctuations — in the past, Apple has raised prices on its hardware and App Store in Canada, Australia, Japan, and Europe just to name a few markets — OnePlus is the first major smartphone maker to alter its prices due to the fallout from Britain’s choice to leave European Union.

Dell has also instituted a blanket 10 percent increase on prices to its UK retail partners, which will likely be passed on to the consumers, according to The Register.  With the British Pound hitting a 31-year low against the US dollar, it’s likely that these two technology firms won’t be the last to raise prices in the near future. If you live in the UK, it may be a good time to pick up that gadget you had your eye on.
