Among the leading credit card issuers in the country, SBI Card has introduced E-store, an integrated shopping platform in its mobile app. E-Store is designed to allow cardholders to make purchases from partner merchants in a seamless way. Card holders can also avail exclusive offers and benefits while using the platform.
For the first online merchant partner, SBI Card has partnered with travel aggregator Goibibo. The E-store platform will be soon expanded to allow consumers access to merchants across a diverse variety of categories.
SBI plans to partner with various E-commerce merchants across categories to provide a holistic online shopping experience to consumers on the E-store.
Earlier this year, the company launched an upgraded 3.0 version of its mobile app with enhanced functionalities.
Cardholders can book flights, buses and hotels with ease on Goibibo through E-Store, while availing exclusive discounts and offers. Apart from savings, E-store also offers a increased transaction convenience. Cardholders do not have to enter their card details every time they make a purchase. Customers are only required to input their CVV to validate transactions, since card details are already integrated on the app. Also, EMI facility can be availed for travel bookings on E-store, a benefit available exclusively on booking through the mobile app.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Vijay Jasuja, CEO, SBI Card said, “The current environment in India is clearly indicative that digital payments are the way forward. The need of the day is to make digital transactions as convenient, safe and rewarding as possible for consumers. Introduction of the E-STORE platform on our mobile app is a step in this direction. “
The SBI Card Mobile App can be downloaded from the Google Play Store, iOS App Store and Windows Phone Store.
