NEW DELHI: Motorola’s unannounced smartphone that was leaked in a video recently is actually the Moto G5 Plus and not the Moto X (2017). It was listed on a classifieds website along with its images and specifications.
The listing, available on OLX’s Romania website by a user, shows the Moto G5 Plus in its full glory. For the uninitiated, the device will replace the Moto G4 Plus smartphone, launched last year.
According to the post, the Moto G5 Plus bears model number XT1685 and runs the Android 7.0 Nougat OS. As per the specifications listed, the smartphone has a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution. The smartphone listed is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor that is clubbed with a 4GB RAM. Other specifications displayed include a storage capacity of 32GB and a 3,080mAh battery.
On the camera front, the smartphone has a 13MP rear and 5MP front camera as per the listing. The smartphone also displays a “Motorola confidential property, not for sale” mark on it. As per the OLX Romania user, the smartphone will on sale sometime in March this year.
It has an approximate Rs 26,000 price tag on it which, as of now, cannot be taken as the official price of the smartphone.
The same smartphone, had recently showed up on a render video. The latter highlighted two important features – a 3.5mm audio jack, and a microUSB port. Below the display, there is a ‘pill-shaped’ Home button, which may come embedded with a fingerprint sensor.
As for the camera the large bump, which characterizes Motorola’s latest set of smartphones in the Z series, is still visible but appears to be a little larger.
Interestingly, both the OLX listing as well as the render video do not shed light on the smartphone’s dual-camera setup or stereo front-facing speakers.
