RRB NTPC Recruitment 2019: Applications for 35,277 railway jobs
Mumbai: Railway Recruitment Board, RRB NTPC Recruitment 2019 is presently going on for 35, 277 jobs. The notification was released on February 28, 2019 and the online applications began on March 1, 2019. Last date to apply for RRB NTPC Recruitment is March 31, 2019. The first step of the recruitment process is to apply online. Candidates interested in applying for various NTPC or non-technical popular categories, are required to register and fill the online application form. Age limit for RRBs is 18 to 30 years for undergraduate posts and 18 to 33 years for graduate jobs. Online applications are available on all regional RRB websites. Candidates to please note that filling the online application is only the starting point. The selection would be done on the basis of the performance in a series of examination. There would be two CBT or Computer Based Test followed by an aptitude test, Typing Skill Test and Document Verification. Medical Examination would also be conducted.
Remember, the tests would vary for different posts. There would be a common 1st Stage CBT for all the posts followed by separate 2nd Stage CBT for various Levels. This would then be followed by third stage of recruitment which is a skill based test -aptitude tests or Typing Skill Tests. Document Verification (DV) and Medical examination would then be conducted for all shortlisted. The same is tabulated below.

Each stage of recruitment is a qualifying and elimination round. What it means is that candidates who qualify the first stage would move to the next stage – so on and so forth. About 20 times the total vacancies would be selected for the 2n Stage CBT for RRB NTPC Recruitment 2019. This would then be further trimmed to about 6 times the number of vacancies in subsequent rounds.
For examples, a total of say 1000 posts are to be filled. After first stage CBT, about 20,000 candidates would be shortlisted for second stage CBT. Out of these 20,000 only 6,000 candidates would move for the aptitude test and subsequent Document Verification rounds. These numbers, however, are not final and may vary.
All the candidates interested in taking up jobs in Indian Railways are advised to go through the official notification and the vacancy details carefully.
