Nokia 3310 4G announced with VoLTE and Wi-Fi Hotspot capabilities
While we were awaiting the launch of the Nokia 3310 4G variant at the MWC 2018 tech show next month, HMD Global has silently unveiled the smartphone in China. The feature phone runs YunOS and has advanced features on the connectivity front such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Hotspot. Given that it is the Chinese variant of the feature phone, we can expect the global variant to be showcased at the MWC 2018 show floor on February 25 along with those of the Nokia 6 (2018) and Nokia 7.
HMD Global has not revealed the pricing of the Nokia 3310 4G variant for now. The device listed on the official Nokia Mobile website in China. We can expect it to go on sale in the Chinese market sometime in February via China Mobile.
Nokia 3310 4G design
When it comes to its looks and design, the Nokia 3310 4G variant resembles the original Nokia 3310 (2017) that went official last year at the MWC 2017 tech show. The device is relatively taller and thicker than the previous generation model as it measures 117 x 52.4 x 13.35 mm in dimensions and weighs in around 88.1 grams.
In terms of color options, the 4G variant of the feature phone comes in two colors such as Dark Black and Fresh Blue. We can expect the company to come up with more color options in the coming weeks or months just like what it did with the yesteryear model.

Nokia 3310 4G specifications
Specswise, the Nokia 3310 4G bestows a 2.4-inch display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. The device comes in two variant based on the internal storage capacity – 256MB and 512MB. There is also a microSD card slot supporting up to 64GB of expandable storage. It is a single SIM device supporting a micro SIM card. The handset has a 2MP primary camera at its rear along with LED flash.
A 1200mAh battery powers the Nokia 3310 4G and is touted to provide up to 5 hours of talk time and up to 12 days of standby time on 4G VoLTE networks.
On the connectivity front, the Nokia 3310 4G variant comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, a micro USB port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. There is Wi-Fi Hotspot capability on this feature phone too. The ability to use Wi-Fi Hotspot is a boon as you can turn the feature phone into a portable hotspot and share your internet connection with your family and friends and use the same on other devices as well.
Pricing and availability
As mentioned above, the company is yet to reveal the pricing details of the Nokia 3310 4G variant. We can expect it to be priced appropriately as there are several feature phones with 4G capability in the market these days such as the Reliance JioPhone and Micromax Bharat 1.
