HP Elite x3 with Windows 10 coming to India soon
HP announced the Elite x3 with Windows 10 back in February. The company has now officially announced its arrival for the American and European markets. As most of us are aware, HP has practically ended its ambitions in the Android arena, so it’s only fair that the company is giving Windows 10 a shot. After all, HP maintains a close relationship with Microsoft as a desktop and notebook manufacturer.

Speaking more about the Elite x3, the handset will be available starting later this month in the U.S. and European markets for $699, which is roughly around Rs 47,000. The company will also sell a bundle with premium headphones and the HP Elite x3 Desk Dock for about $799 (Rs 53,600). This puts the handset in the flagship segment and dare we say, it does have the hardware to justify the price tag. It is one of the few devices out there to sport an iris scanner, which can unlock your device by scanning your retina. Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 is rumored to be packing this sensor as well.

The company has mentioned that the Elite x3 will be launched in 47 other countries, including India, shortly after the U.S. and EU release. Although we don’t have a specific date to mark against our calendars, it is hoped that the handset will be launched in the country before the arrival of the iPhone 7 (and all its variants) so as to not get lost in the post-iPhone hysteria.
