Essential Phone’s ‘First Look’ event scheduled for August 25
Essential, the tech startup led by ex-Googler and the person behind the existence of Android, Andy Rubin, has although introduced the Essential Phone, it hasn’t revealed how the device will work in real life or what features it will have. Now, the firm seems ready as it plans to give a ‘First Look’ of the Essential Phone on August 25.

In an invite received by the Droid Life website, the company will be giving a ‘First Look’ on Friday, August 25 in the US. While no other information has been given in the invite, we assume the company officials, including Rubin, will be revealing details about the Essential Phone. Rubin could also use the opportunity to reveal when the smartphone will be hitting the shelves.

A couple of days ago Andy Rubin tweeted that the Essential Phone is in mass production and details about its availability will be revealed next week. “We are in full mass production, ramping up to deliver your Essential Phone. Find out where you can get yours next week!” he tweeted.

It is worth mentioning that Rubin launched the Essential Phone back in June and said the device will be hitting the market in next couple of weeks. However, there has been a two-month delay now.

At the time of the launch it was mentioned that the Essential Phone will cost $699 (roughly Rs 45,200). The 360-degree camera module launched alongside the device, when bundled with the handset, will cost $898 (roughly Rs 58,000).
