BlackBerry DTEK70 smartphone’s ‘new pictures’ surface online
NEW DELHI: BlackBerry is rumoured to launch its next Android smartphone soon. Tipped to be called DTEK70, their are so far no official details available about the smartphone.
Now some alleged images of the device have surfaced on Gizmochina website. The leaked images of the smartphone appear to be similar to the ones that were leaked earlier this month. The alleged images, however, give a clearer picture of how the device will look like.
As per the leaked pictures, the BlackBerry DTEK70 will sport QWERTY keyboard. There will be a front-facing camera on the top right corner and sensors on the opposite. Furthermore, the fingerprint sensor is expected to be embedded in the space bar. Also mentioned is that the handset will see the light of the day in Q1 2017.
On the specifications side, the BlackBerry DTEK70 will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. It will also have a 4.5-inch dual-curved display alongside 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage. The optics front is said to be taken care by an 8MP front-facing camera and an 18MP rear camera.
BlackBerry recently announced that its next-generation handsets will be showcased at CES 2017, which is scheduled to take place from January 5 to 8th in Las Vegas (US).
“At CES 2017, TCL Communication Technology Holdings Limited (TCT) will unveil an evolutionary first in the mobile industry, which will include the addition of the new BlackBerry brand of smartphones, complementing the company’s current portfolio,” said the company in a release.
Steve Cistulli, president and general manager for TCL Communication said that the model information about the devices will be revealed at the conference next month. The company will show the world “a glimpse into what new BlackBerry smartphones will offer as part of our bold new brand portfolio within TCL.”
