AOC launches new range of gaming monitors, price starts at Rs 29,000
Taiwan-based AOC has launched its new AGON-X range of gaming monitors in India. The new range has a starting price of Rs 29,000. The company has said that they’ll be available at select retail outlets in the country.
AOC’s new AGON-X range is available in two display sizes – 24-inch and 27-inch. With a Quad HD resolution of 2560×1440 pixels, the company claims that the new monitors have a record response time of 1ms. They also have three way (Height, Tilt and Swirl) adjustment.
The AGON X Series monitors come with AOC’s Flicker-Free Technology and a Blue light mode that reduces eyestrain, thus helping users in long term gaming sessions. They have an Adaptive-Sync technology that eliminates tearing, stuttering and input lag. In addition, the AOC Shadow Control feature allows users to adjust contrast in overly bright or dark game areas. The QuickSwitch controller (separately boxed) makes switching between monitor options and settings a smooth affair.
Talking about the launch of the new monitors, AOC’s India head Saurabh Grover said, “Comprehensive features of the new monitors with competitive pricing will be a professional gamer’s delight. We expect the AGON X series to become the prime mover in this category”.
He further mentioned that “The Indian gaming industry is undergoing an exciting phase – with the customers preferring features and value-for-money over high-decibel-branded products. Being a company which truly believes in enchanting the consumers with high-quality reliable yet affordable products, we at AOC are proud to expand our offerings to the gaming-device segments”.
Earlier this year, Acer launched three new gaming monitors equipped with eye-tracking features at its pre-IFA 2016 event. These include the Predator Z271T, Predator XB251HQT and Predator XB271HUT.
