Android Wear 2.0 makes debut with LG Watch Sport and Watch Style smartwatches
NEW DELHI: Google’s new-generation version of Android Wear operating system is here. Called Android Wear 2.0, the all-new OS makes debut with two new LG smartwatches — LG Sport and Watch Style smartwatches.

LG Watch Style comes in Silver, Rose Gold and Titanium colour options and is priced at $249 (Rs 16,690), whereas the LG Watch Sport sports a price tag of $349 (Rs 23,390) and will be available in Titanium and Dark Blue colour options. Both the models will be available in US starting February 10.

The search giant also said that these smartwatches will be available at carriers and retailers across Canada, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan, UAE and UK in the coming weeks.Both the wearables come with Circular P-OLED displays and also have a rotating power button which enables the users to easily scroll through their stream, bring up the app launcher, or get help from the Google Assistant. The devices are also water resistant.

The LG Watch Style is thin and light and it also comes with snap-and-snap 18mm leather and silicone bands. The device features a 1.2-inch P-OLED display with 360×360 pixel resolution and is powered by a 1.1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor. It offers 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The smartwatch runs Android Wear 2.0 and comes with IP67 rating which makes it dust and water resistant. It comes with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support and also has a microphone. The LG Watch Style is backed by a 240mAh battery.
On the other hand, the LG Watch Sport comes with an elastomer strap, support for Android Pay, GPS for tracking exercise and navigation and also a heart rate sensor for workouts. The smartwatch comes with a 1.38-inch P-OLED display with 480×480 pixel resolution. Powering the device s a 1.1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor paired with 768MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The wearable runs Android Wear 2.0 and is compatible with smartphones running Android 4.3 and above and iOS.
It comes with IP68 rating which makes the device dust and water resistant. In terms of connectivity options it comes with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, LTE, NFC and GPS support. It also features a speaker, microphone and houses a 430 mAh battery.
